Below you will find detailed wiring diagrams.

They show all the connections in a typical HVAC system of each type. Including the connections internal to the system. These are for information only and can be used to determine the name of the wires you have at the thermostat location.

To find the appropriate label for unlabeled wires it will be necessary to find the source end of the wire, determine its label and then trace that wire to the thermostat location.
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the simplest wiring scheme with only 2 wires.


             

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This system allows you at add a C-wire for aux power to the thermostat

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This system also allows the Fan to be operated independent of the furnace.



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This system has cooling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This system  has Rh and Rc wires, so the Orange Jumper wire must be removed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 
  It is important to add a jumper between Y and W for this wiring scheme.
